Renoir Sculpture: Venus of Victory and The Washerwoman

In the plaza at the south exit of JR Shizuoka Station, there are two sculptures by the French artist Renoir: "Venus of Victory" and "Woman Doing Laundry."

Although Renoir is best known as an Impressionist painter, he created about 15 sculptures during his later years.

These two sculptures are based on paintings by Renoir himself, and both are rare works, with only 14 copies of each existing worldwide.

Why not come to Shizuoka and experience these world-renowned masterpieces up close?
