Chigo Bridge
Long ago, a bridge was first built over the Tomoe River by order of Lord Ieyasu. It is said that when the bridge was completed and the first crossing took place, a young boy appeared out of nowhere and walked across it. This story has been passed down as the legend of the “kappa living in the Tomoe River.”
