This tea is produced in the watershed of the Abe River and its tributary, the Warashina River, which flow through Shizuoka City in Shizuoka Prefecture, and is known as “Honzan-cha.” Even within Shizuoka Prefecture—a renowned “tea kingdom” famous for its fine teas since ancient times—it is regarded as a tea of exceptional quality and enjoys the utmost trust among tea connoisseurs.
