Swedish Tableware: Life with Gustavsberg
The National Museum of Sweden will exhibit approximately 300 works from the renowned Gustavsberg porcelain factory.
Founded in 1825 in southeastern Sweden, Gustavsberg is a leading Nordic ceramics manufacturer. Its collection of tableware, born from a rich synergy between designers’ creative freedom and industrial craftsmanship, has been an integral part of people’s daily lives, adding color to their everyday routines.This exhibition is the first of its kind in Japan, focusing on four designers who represent Gustavsberg—Wilhelm Koge, Karin Björkvist, Lisa Larson, and Stig Lindberg—to explore the history and appeal of Gustavsberg, which continues to be cherished today.
