Shizuoka Oden Ogawa
Located on Asama-dori, the approach to Shizuoka Sengen Shrine, this oden shop is a rare example of a traditional "dagashi-ya" (old-fashioned candy store) style establishment that specializes exclusively in Shizuoka-style oden. Unlike the famous "Aoba Yokocho" and "Aoba Oden Street," which are known for Shizuoka-style oden, this shop allows customers to enjoy "Shizuoka-style oden" during the daytime. As a result, it attracts large crowds every day, drawing visitors not only from within Shizuoka City but from far and wide. This popularity has often drawn media coverage not only locally but also on national news programs. Since it is within walking distance of Sunpu Castle Park and Shizuoka Sengen Shrine, it is a popular tourist spot that you should definitely visit when you come to Shizuoka City.
We also participate in major events in Shizuoka City, such as the annual “Shizuoka Oden Festival” and the “Shizuoka Marathon,” where we attract such large crowds that lines form.
