Naka Kansuke Literary Memorial Museum

The former Maeda Residence, where the author Nakakansuke—famous for *Silver Spoon*, a vivid portrayal of the world of children—lived and wrote, was opened as the Nakakansuke Literary Memorial Museum in 1995. As a place to honor his achievements—he wrote many essays and haiku here—and to provide a venue for cultural activities in its traditional Japanese-style rooms, the museum serves as a space for people to connect through these activities and is widely used by the public.
