Statue of Yaji and Kita

This bronze statue was erected to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jippensha Ikku’s *Tōkaidōchū Hizakurige*. Located just before the Higashi Gate, with the Tatsumi Turret in the background, it features Yaji (left) and Kita (right) standing on a bench—making it a perfect photo spot. Jippensha Ikku was born in Shizuoka City.
