Shizuoka Prefecture blessed with many scenic spots starting with Mt. Fuji and Miho-no-Matsubara. At the Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art, the concept is in collecting works that are suited for these environments, and has a wide range of collections such as a landscape painting of the east and west after the 17th century, works with a Mt. Fuji motif, and writers and works cherished by Shizuoka Prefecture. It is also popular as an art museum of landscapes and Rodin, with the "Rodin Museum" exhibiting modern sculpture works with Rodin works as the core.
