SHIZUOKA CITY KANKO NAVI

The “Mt. Fuji Cosplay World Convention,” affectionately known as “Fuji Cos,” began in 2013 and is celebrating its 12th edition this year. At last year’s 11th convention, approximately 2,200 cosplayers and photographers, along with about 30,000 spectators, gathered in Shimizu over the two-day event, creating a lively atmosphere.This year’s 12th edition will be held over two days, on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11. The hugely popular “Stage Performances” and “Runway Performances” will take place at the JR Shimizu Station East Exit Park. In addition, new events are planned for this year within the Shimizu Ekimae Ginza Shopping Arcade, which serves as the main venue.Cosplay culture has become firmly established as part of the local culture of Shizuoka and Shimizu. This is one of the largest cosplay events in the prefecture, offering fun for both cosplayers and non-cosplayers alike. We hope you’ll come visit the venue.
