Step-In Tamaruya: A Factory Tour
You can tour the factory of Tamaruya, a producer of "wasabi-zuke"—a classic Shizuoka souvenir with a history spanning over 130 years, dating back to 1875. In addition to observing the wasabi-zuke production process, the facility features a "Spicy Taste Experience Zone" where you can physically feel the sharp, stinging heat of wasabi.
The adjacent souvenir shop sells wasabi-flavored sweets and other souvenirs.
