Shizuoka Civic Cultural Hall
The center opened on November 3, 1978 (Culture Day) as part of the projects commemorating the 90th anniversary of Shizuoka City’s establishment.
Located on the site of Sunpu Castle, which was the city center at the time, the hall serves as a symbol of cultural and artistic activities. In addition to hosting performances across various genres—including concerts, plays, traditional performing arts, and ballet—it is widely used for citizens’ creative activities, lectures, ceremonies, and other events.
Furthermore, the center organizes its own events, including stage performances such as dance, traditional performing arts, and musicals, as well as various workshops.
