The Way of God
The deity who descends upon the Hagoromo Pine is welcomed at Miho Shrine via a 500-meter-long avenue of pine trees, commonly known as the “Path of the Gods.”Walking along this solemn avenue of ancient pines, said to be 200 to 400 years old, offers a sense of spiritual renewal. To protect the trees, the path has been converted into a boardwalk to prevent visitors from stepping on the roots, allowing you to enjoy a stroll while reading information boards featuring poems and stories related to Miho Matsubara. At night, the area is illuminated, creating an even more magical atmosphere.
