Seishō Yuen

The Ryogawachi district, where the deep morning and evening fog and gentle sunlight cultivate high-quality tea with a rich aroma.

In this region, Seishō Yuen is dedicated to producing matcha—a rarity in Shizuoka.

Not only can you enjoy views of the tea fields nestled in the mountains,

but at Chikuso-an—a tea room converted from a former stable—

you can enjoy a matcha experience featuring matcha carefully ground in a stone mill using homegrown tea leaves,

and traditional Japanese sweets made with seasonal ingredients.

In addition to matcha, you can also sample a wide variety of teas, including standard sencha, gyokuro, kabuse, and Japanese black tea.

Why not try a tea experience featuring gentle, handcrafted flavors?
