The Great Stone of Kawachi
This massive rock, standing 19 meters tall and measuring 60 meters in circumference, is designated as a municipal cultural property. It is said to have been washed down from Mount Fuji itself by heavy rains the year following the Great Ansei Earthquake.
Today, it is revered as Oishi Shrine and is also known as a stone that ensures safe childbirth.

Approximately 40 minutes from the Shin-Shimizu Interchange on the Shin-Tomei Expressway[Public Transportation]
From JR Shizuoka Station, take the Tokaido Line to JR Shimizu Station. From JR Shimizu Station, take the "Miho Yamanote Line" bus for about 27 minutes and get off at the "Tannuma Shako-mae" bus stop. From "Tannuma Shako-mae," take the local bus bound for Ohira and get off at the "Kawachi" bus stop. It is about a 10-minute walk from there.
