Saito Tea Farm

Grind, brew, savor. Experience matcha with all five senses.

It’s a 40-minute ride from Shizuoka Station. We grow tea in the Honyama region, located along the upper reaches of the Warashina River. For over 40 years, we’ve been committed to organic farming—free from pesticides and chemical fertilizers—and we take special care to cultivate tea that’s rich in nutrients. This experience lets you grind “tencha”—the raw material for matcha—grown in our organic tea fields using a stone mill, then prepare and savor it.If the weather permits, we’ll give you a tour of the tea fields, where you can learn about tea cultivation and processing. We invite you to enjoy this matcha experience amidst the peaceful, leisurely pace of the satoyama countryside.
