Shizuoka Keirin Track

Located in Oka, Suruga Ward, this velodrome offers views of Mount Fuji. Opened in 1953, it hosts the annual “Tachi-aoi Prize” commemorative race every February, as well as other races such as the “Chakki Prize,” named after the folk song “Chakki-bushi.” The mascot character is “Racer Panda,” inspired by the red pandas at Nihondaira Zoo.The shops and restaurants inside the velodrome offer a wide variety of delicious foods, including exquisite Shizuoka oden and Shizuoka-style fried dishes.
