Nestled in the remote Okushizu region of Shizuoka City—a secluded hot spring destination blessed with abundant natural beauty—lies "Umegashima Drive-In & Sauna Villa."

The facility is divided into two sections: the “Shop Building,” which specializes in takeout, and the “Accommodation Building,” which features private sauna villas for hot spring stays.

"Shop Building"

We recommend our original blend coffee, made with carefully selected beans and water; the Umegashima Hamburger, featuring local wasabi; and the Okushizu Set, made with sweet trout and log-grown shiitake mushrooms.

"Accommodation Building"

There are two rooms in total: one Western-style room and one Japanese-style room. The two rooms can be connected to rent the entire building.

The Western-style room features a natural, chic design, and the sauna uses a wood-burning stove. You can light the fire yourself, enjoy the view of the flames, listen to the crackling of the wood, and let the gentle heat warm your body. You can also enjoy the hybrid bath, where you can blend Umegashima Konya Onsen water with natural water from the Abe River to your liking.

The Japanese-style room features a retro-modern design, and the sauna uses an electric stove designed to evoke the atmosphere of a traditional irori hearth. You’ll be soothed by the refreshing scent of tea during a traditional Shizuoka-style tea löyly. You can enjoy alternating baths in two types of cold water baths: one using Umegashima Konya Onsen and the other using natural water from the Abe River.
