Ferkel Museum
As a "Museum of Ports and Ships," the Ferkel Museum showcases the history and role of the port through ship models related to Shimizu Port, maritime equipment essential for navigation, and cargo-handling tools used by port workers.
Additionally, the Canned Food Memorial Hall, located at the rear of the museum, showcases the history of the canned food industry in Shimizu and Shizuoka through actual cans and labels from the Showa era, as well as early tuna canning equipment.
The museum’s second floor hosts a variety of special exhibitions throughout the year, covering topics such as art and history.
