Dairabou (Hiking Trail)
Mount Daibou is a mountain beloved for the legend of the giant Daidarabotchi and the vastness of its summit. From the wide-open spots along the trail, you can enjoy magnificent views of Mount Fuji, the Southern Alps, and the Abe-oku mountain range. There is also a large colony of Japanese buttercups, which bloom with delicate light purple flowers in early spring.
The summit plaza is said to resemble the shape of the giant’s left foot. It features a vast grassy expanse offering panoramic views of Mount Fuji and the city of Shizuoka.
This is the Dairabou hiking course, a mountain beloved by locals for the legend of the giant Dairabou and the spaciousness of its summit.
