Shizukiyama Park

The row of cherry trees leading from the grounds of Shizuoka Sengen Shrine to the summit of Mt. Shizuki reaches full bloom around early April, drawing crowds of cherry blossom viewers. The summit also offers a fine view of the city center and serves as a relaxing spot for locals to take a stroll.

Although Mt. Shizuki is a relatively low mountain, with a maximum elevation of just 231 meters, the views to the east and west from the trail along the ridge are spectacular, making it a popular hiking course as an easily accessible mountain within the city.
