Kunozan Toshogu Museum

The Kunozan Toshogu Museum is a museum attached to Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, which enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu.


The museum houses the "Important Cultural Property: Hada Armor," the armor worn by Lord Tokugawa Ieyasu at the Battle of Sekigahara; the "National Treasure: Paulownia Crest Silk-Wrapped Tachi Mounting (National Treasure: Tachi, inscribed 'Shinkō,' with mounting)," which was dedicated to Kunozan Toshogu by the second shogun, Lord Tokugawa Hidetada;and the “Statue of Tōshō Daigongen,” a divine image of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Access

[Car]
From the Tomei Shizuoka-Shimizu Interchange, take the exit for "Kunozan-shita" (approx. 40 minutes).

[Public Transportation]
From JR Shizuoka Station, take the Shizutetsu Just Line Nihondaira Line (approx. 50 min.). Get off at the terminal stop, "Nihondaira," and you'll find the ropeway boarding area (5 min.).
